VENUE:

Bruxelles (Brussels), Goethe-Institut Brussels (Bruxelles)

TIME:

March 12, 2026, 12:15 to 13:15 CET

DESCRIPTION:

The European Cultural and Creative Industries Innovation Policy Platform (ekip) invites you to an in-person Policy Corner in Brussels to explore new funding models for creativity and innovation and what they mean for CCI organizations, creators, intermediaries, and policymakers.

About this Policy Corner

Access to finance remains a structural challenge across the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs), especially where value is generated through intangible assets, variable cash flows, and public-good outcomes. At the same time, new approaches are emerging, from multi-level and blended funding to outcome-based mechanisms, new forms of intermediation, and digital infrastructures for monetization and ownership.

This Policy Corner is designed as a focused lunchtime conversation. We will begin with a brief trend forecast, followed by an opportunity for collective sensemaking. The discussion aims to surface needs, frictions, opportunity areas, and policy-relevant insights that can feed into ekip’s ongoing work.

Session Agenda

12:15 – 12:35 – ekip Policy Corner intro and a trend forecasting presentation

The session will begin with a concise presentation of trend insights on new funding models, aimed at establishing a shared vocabulary and highlighting key shifts.

12:35 – 13:15 – Lunch and Policy Corner conversation

An interactive discussion to unpack implications for CCIs and identify actionable directions. We will focus on what is enabling, what is missing, and what policy could do to support fair, accessible, and sustainable funding ecosystems.
