This session explores how EU digital commons initiatives and data spaces can strengthen open innovation and resilient ecosystems across the CCIs. We’ll examine community-driven governance and participatory models, while also addressing emerging tensions and threats to commons-based and open data services, and how these services are responding.

The primary objective of the policy lab is to develop policy recommendations that strengthen democratic resilience across Europe by embedding digital commons principles in the CCIs and promoting sustainable cultural and economic development through open, participatory governance.
