AI and Cultural and Creative Industries

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) offers vast opportunities but also poses significant challenges. How can AI’s growing role in the cultural and creative sector break down silos and foster interdisciplinary collaboration? What skills must the CCIs develop to remain competitive, and how can traditional creative talents adapt within this evolving innovation landscape?

These questions were at the heart of ekip’s first Policy Lab on “AI and the Cultural and Creative Industries,” which focused on exploring AI’s impact particularly for smaller players and co-creating policy recommendations that support innovation across the ecosystem. This lab represents a key step in ekip’s policy formulation process, and its recommendations will contribute to ekip’s broader outreach and engagement efforts across Europe’s creative and cultural innovation networks.
