Kristiina Urb is part of the Creativity Lab team in ekip and contribute to the work of the ekip network, policy formulation and capacity building. Her doctoral thesis focuses on optimising interorganisational activities between managers of CCIs and non-CCIs, promoting cross-sectorial collaboration. It analyses the connections between interorganisational activities and social constructs that may influence decision-making and behavior.
“My motivation came from years of practical experience and observations of creative entrepreneurs and their struggles, e.g. working with other sectors”, says Kristiina Urb.
Consequently, the thesis proposes the Three Cs model, operationalised by guiding principles, as a potential managerial tool. It consists of cooperation, value co-creation, and collaboration: (1) Managers should understand CCIs’ entrepreneurial motivation to enhance cooperation; (2) Implementing developed value co-creation enablers can further benefit value co-creation; (3) Collaboration is an apparatus that keeps them going, and recognising proposed CCIs’ underlying cognitive mental models can benefit collaboration with non-CCIs.
