Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) are essential drivers of Europe’s open innovation ecosystems, yet they remain among the most difficult sectors to finance. This ekip Policy Lab examines how innovative funding models can close this gap by rethinking how creativity, risk, and value are financed across Europe.

Building on insights from ekip’s scoping work and the achievements of Creative FLIP, the session will spotlight emerging mechanisms such as impact investing, revenue-based financing, and blockchain-enabled models.

Participants will work together to co-design policy pathways that make these approaches more inclusive, accessible, and scalable across European innovation ecosystems.

The objective: to unlock new forms of capital that allow creativity to contribute fully to Europe’s competitiveness and innovation capacity.
