Immersive media such as virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) are revolutionising how we create, share and experience content. From 3D movies and video games to documentaries and cultural activities, these technologies are reshaping creative processes and deepening audience engagement across the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs). However, smaller players in the CCIs often face financial and skill-related challenges in adopting immersive technologies. Our Policy Lab on “Immersive Technologies in the CCIs” will explore these issues and develop actionable policy recommendations to support ongoing innovation, particularly for independent creators and artists.
