Online - ekip Community

TIME:

November 11th 2024, from 12:00-13:30

DESCRIPTION:

Join the European Cultural and Creative Industries Innovation Policy Platform (ekip) in this webinar where we will discuss the findings of the social media listening and trend forecasting regarding Immersive Media and Experiences.

 About this webinar

In recent years, XR technologies have caught the eye of industry pioneers like ARTE, the Venice Film Festival, and the Centre National du Cinema, highlighting Europe’s potential to lead in this transformative field. Beyond entertainment, Europe also benefits from skilled workers specialised in 3D modelling and VR animation impacting sectors from manufacturing to fashion and architecture. Indeed, VR and AR content also have the potential to trigger innovations in other industrial sectors, explore sustainable business models, boost efficiency in waste reduction, and create enhanced, immersive customer experiences. However, the European VR/AR sector suffers from fragmentation across sectors, players, and applications. Integrating extended reality into CCIs comes with challenges that demand attention, such as the need for highly specialized skills, prohibitive development costs, and accessibility concerns.

What are the raising conversations around this topic? Which trends will shape the future of Immersive Media and Experiences? In this webinar, the main findings gathered through of social media listening and trend forecasting will be presented and discussed.
