Policy Lab
VENUE:
Kukučínova 2, Kulturpark, Košice
TIME:
November 20th 2024, from 9:30-17:30
DESCRIPTION:
The European Cultural and Creative Industries Innovation Policy Platform consortium (ekip) is proud to launch the third in a series of Policy Labs addressing the most pressing challenges faced by the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI).
The challenge addressed by the third Policy Lab is immersive tech for the CCIs. The objective is to propose policy recommendations in the domain of CCI and immersive tech for the benefit of smaller players, independent content creators and artists. Immersive technologies are transforming the ways in which people interact with media. As a result, new, immersive experiences have the ability to deeply engage users across a variety of environments, creating a sense of realism and being fully present in the experience.
However, immersive media pose several challenges to the CCIs to innovate and benefit from this field, such as access to data, skills and training, collaboration and networks, transparency and ethics, and access to funding.
You are hereby kindly invited to express your interest in joining stakeholders across the CCIs, such as entrepreneurs, academics, creative networks and policy makers. On this day of interdisciplinary exchange we will together:
The event is open to the following stakeholders:
Join other stakeholders for a day of learning, exchanging, and co-creating to shape concrete recommendations enabling the role of cultural and creative industries in immersive media. Get ready to discuss immersive media-related challenges with other colleagues from across the CCI ecosystem, exchange ideas, learn and establish valuable connections!
Save the date and register here until 6 November, 2024.
Physical participation
The event is planned as a physical event taking place in Košice. Online participation for some sessions will also be facilitated. Additional details will shortly follow.
Moreover, the policy lab will run in parallel to the Art & Tech Days held at the same venue from 18-22 November this year under the topic Periphery. The highlight of the festival is the Art & Tech Conference on 21st November. This event will give you the chance to uncover fresh perspectives in art, design, science, and technology by seeing how the fringes often become the birthplaces of innovation and change. If you would like to partake in the ekip policy lab on the 20th, you also have the opportunity to secure your spot at this festival.
