Online Webinar
11:00 am – 1:00 pm CET
The European Cultural and Creative Industries Innovation Policy Platform (ekip) invites you to this online Policy Corner webinar exploring how cultural and creative industries (CCIs) can shape, and not only adopt, Europe’s deep tech agenda.
The cultural and creative sectors have long acted as laboratories for experimentation, imagination, and societal reflection. Recently, their contribution to cross-sector innovation has become increasingly visible, as creative practices help translate complex challenges into tangible experiences and shared narratives.
This webinar explores how creative collaboration can strengthen interdisciplinary research and open innovation ecosystems. By connecting diverse domains, cultural and creative practitioners can support new forms of knowledge exchange, prototyping, and public engagement, helping ideas travel from early exploration to wider adoption and impact.
The first part of the webinar will present ekip’s social media listening and trend forecasting results related to deep tech and CCIs. An overview of findings will be provided, followed by the presentation of one trend derived from this analysis.
In the second part of the webinar, we will present an overview of the topic and the interpretation ekip is giving to it.
In the third part, an interactive discussion with webinar participants will be facilitated, focusing on four scenarios for the platformization of the music industry to be collectively discussed.
ekip is an EU-funded flagship project that follows the principles of open innovation to establish a policy recommendation engine driven by partners and the active involvement of 40+ CCI networks. This engine will continuously promote the development and adoption of policy recommendations for CCIs, resulting in support and guidance that enhances the ability of CCI actors to participate in and contribute to complex innovation processes.
The webinar will take place on April, 14, 2026, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm CET.
