Zora Jaurová

A leading voice in culture and creative industries in Slovakia

Zora Jaurová is a culture expert from Slovakia, President of the Slovak Creative Industry Forum, and a specialist in cultural policies and international cultural cooperation. The Creative Industry Forum in Slovakia is one of ekip’s network partners, contributing to dialogue and policy development for the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs).

From creative industries to politics

Zora Jaurová recently entered politics as a Member of the Slovak Parliament, bringing with her extensive experience from the cultural and creative sectors.

“As I was once told by one European politician, it is very uncommon for people from creative industries to go into politics, because their jobs are so much more interesting. So, since I have started as a Member of Slovak Parliament today, let’s see if that is true… :)”

Culture, democracy, and Europe’s future

Her political agenda remains firmly rooted in culture, creative industries, and their role in shaping a better future and protecting democracy. Zora highlights the importance of European collaboration and shared learning when addressing these challenges.

“My agenda will be of course culture, creative industries and their role for creating a better future and protect democracy. The ekip project gives me very important European context and inspiration for that.”

A European perspective through ekip

Zora Jaurová emphasizes that ekip provides a vital European framework for understanding how cultural and creative industries can contribute to policy-making, democratic resilience, and long-term societal impact.

“Wish me luck in this mission, dear ekip friends!”
